This new range of actuators stands alone when it comes to the toughest and most demanding applications. Where space is scarce, where dust, dirt, and water is abundant and when solid, reliable and maintenance-free operation is needed, then Electrak Pro is the answer.
The range which follow the quality reputation of previous designs, accepts applied voltages of either 12 VDC or 24 VDC and can deliver dynamic thrust load capabilities up to 9000 N (2000 lbf). The maximum dynamic load speeds can be up to 38 mm/s (1.5 in/s), with standard and customise stroke lengths as long as 300 mm (12 in). The units are available with either Ball or Acme drive screws and have IP 66 and IP 67 environmental protection class sealing. Dynamic brake, load holding brake and manual override available is also available.
There are a number of special features including, electronic load monitoring (ELM) consisting of a built-in microprocessor that continuously monitors actuator performance, which provides end of stroke, mid stroke, overload, and duty cycle protections by stopping actuator movement. There is also programmable limit switches, low voltage power switching, PWM speed control monitoring and for good measure, signal follower input.
Micromech will also be promoting the other already well known actuators in the Electrak family which are noted for their performance capacities, from standard to special stroke lengths, clevis to trunnion mounts, ball or acme screw drives, and AC or DC supply voltages.
“Micromech has a long history with Danaher Motion and so we are delighted they are to include the Electrak actuators to their offerings” said Dave Stansfield the UK Country Manager. “They already distribute a wide range of our products and these actuators fit neatly into their portfolio” he added. Stirling Morley, Product Manager for Micromech agreed commenting "our relationship in various forms goes back over 26 years and this development is sure to see that extend much, much further”.
