The Precision Linear Actuators (PLA) ranges are actuators designed for automation tasks in the industry or for the replacement of pneumatics or hydraulics wherever they may exist. These strong, fast and accurate actuators are a result of over 40 years of actuator development representing the state of the art in linear actuator design.

The Danaher Motion precision linear actuator range from Micromech consists of two series of high performance precision linear actuators - the black EC series in four sizes and the aluminium coloured ECT series in two sizes. Both the EC and the ECT series are designed and manufactured to meet the highest standards and provide world class performance using state of the art technologies.

The EC actuators combines durability and ease-of-use with the largest selection of factory-engineered options available today. They come in both acme and ball screw versions, in a large number of gear and motor combinations, as well as being designed to be compact but still manage high loads and sustain harsh environments.

The highest performing line of precision linear actuators the ECT series, are designed for the most demanding applications making them ideal when the maximum available performance and longest life cycle are required. Precision-rolled ball screws provide smooth motion, accurate positioning and quiet operation. The ECT series guarantees trouble-free operation even for the most challenging operations and toughest applications.

One of the major advantages with the PLA actuators is that they come completely assembled, ready to run as soon as they are hooked up to a drive and a control. A large range of mounting options and accessories are available and can be supplied with the actuator making it even easier to perfect the actuator for the purposes of the application. It doesn't matter what type of gear, motor and actuator combination is selected, the customer can be sure that it will work and determine the rate of performance. Not only do the actuators arrive completely assembled and tested; they are also less expensive than if individual components were purchased. So even if the cost of assembly time is not taken into consideration, the PLA actuator can get the linear motion application up and running faster, safer and cheaper than most other solutions.

Some typical applications are loading and unloading, edge guide control, drilling, cutting, welding, pressing and clamping tasks in different kinds of production equipment. They are also commonly used for valve control in process and ventilation equipment and are also ideal where there is a high concentration of airborne contaminants. Another suitable area is the replacement of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders since the products flexibility of control brings many benefits compared to the traditional technologies.
