Micromech - A Force in Motion

The ETV32 actuator has a great life

Now available from Micromech is the new ETV32 actuator from Parker EMD which is similar to the ET Cylinder, size 32 (it has the same well known advantages) but having smaller power packs which help in applications requiring a considerably extended lifetime.

In addition the engineers have succeeded in reducing the overall length with a similar stroke while at the same time improving the bearing. The resulting advantag is the reduction of the overall mounting dimensions. Thanks to the innovative enhancements and a high operating reliability, the ETV32 represents a very cost efficient alternative to conventional solutions.

The key features of the actuator are an extended lifetime as shown in the graph below, motor mounting parallel, anti-parallel or inline, a wide range of motor flanges available, plus various mounting and rod end options offered as standard.

Comparison of life time – current ET32 against the new ETV32:

The ETV32 uses the same extrusion as the ETB32 but has a shorter total length for the same stroke and also can be supplied in an IP65 rating. The actuator comes in two screw pitch sizes, the 5mm provides strokes of 50 through to 450mm at 420mm/S, then 600mm at 270mm/S and 750mm at 190mm/S. The second size of 10mm pitch achieves 50mm to 450mm stroke at 840mm/S, 600mm at 540mm/S and the 750mm at 380mm/S. They have maximum acceleration of 3 and 6m/S2 respectively, thrust force of 600N and repeatability of +/- 0.07mm.
