SALES ENGINEER VACANCY

Micromech Limited is currently seeking an experienced sales engineer to join our expanding motion control company. Working from home, you will be responsible for the sales of components, contracts and projects as well as after sales in the North of England and Scotland.

You will be responsible for:

• Sales of components, systems and contracts
• Further development of sales within an established customer base together with new business development within the North of the UK.
• Implementing and achieving sales turnover objectives
• Independent planning, execution and conclusion of sales visits

The ideal candidate will be:

• Preferably qualified in electrical or electronic or mechanical engineering
• Have professional experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of motion control technology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good negotiator and customer orientated

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the position will involve selling motion control products and systems with applications varying from single-axis stepper and servo motors to drive systems, as well as gearboxes, actuators and a comprehensive range of associated equipment.

MOTION CONTROL ENGINEER VACANCY

Micromech Systems Limited are currently seeking an experienced engineer to join our expanding motion control engineering team.

Reporting directly to the Systems Director, the position will involve a broad range of duties both in-house, and in supporting motion control systems and products in the field. Applications will vary from single-axis stepper and servo systems through to working within a team on large multi-axis control systems.

Key duties to be carried out in this role include:

• Electrical design, and production of control system schematics using AutoCad.
• Production of Documentation at all stages of the project, including the writing of specifications, risk assessments, test reports, and user manuals.
• Production of application software for a wide range of motion control products including intelligent drives, motion controllers, robots, PLC’s, HMI’s, and PC software such as LabView or Visual Basic.
• Testing and Commissioning of control systems, which will sometimes involve travelling and working away from home.
• Technical support to Micromech staff, and existing & potential customers.
