Kollmorgen - Thomson - Dover - Synchronous servo motors - PDF Catalogues

These synchronous servomotors are brushless DC motors for demanding servo applications. When combined with our digital servoamplifiers they are especially suited for positioning tasks in industrial robots, machine tools, transfer lines etc. With high requirements for dynamics and stability.
The servomotors have permanent magnets in the rotor. The rare earth neodymium -iron-boron magnetic material is an important factor in making it possible to drive these motors in a highly dynamic fashion. A three-phase winding which is driven by the servoamplifier is integrated into the stator. The motor does not have any brushes since commutation is performed electronically by the servoamplifier.
The temperature of the winding is monitored by temperature sensors in the stator windings.
The motors are enamelled in matt black (RAL 9005).

  • 0.16 to 149 N-m (1.4 to 1320 lb-in) continuous torque accommodates a wide range of application requirements.
  • Speeds to 8,000 RPM with standard models meet most high speed
  • application requirements.
  • Winding voltages of 230 to 480 VAC (325 to 680 VDC bus rated) provides full range of global voltage capability.
  • Choice of resolver, commutating encoder, sinusoidal encoder, or smart feedback device (SFD) to meet broad drive and system requirements
  • Compact (high torque/volume ratio) for maximum torque in minimum space
  • Low and medium inertia types for optimum system performance (series dependent)
  • Multiple frame sizes and mounting options for versatility in meeting a diversity of machine interfaces
  • Optimized current ratings to match a wide range of drives for optimum performance and cost
  • CE compliant and UL recognition for global acceptance (series dependent)

Brushless servo motors with resolver or high resolution encoder

Motor series AKM
for 110V / 230V / 400V / 480V mains voltage,
for use with the digital servo amplifier series SERVOSTAR® 200/300/400/600/700,
Resolver
Motor series DBL/DBK
Kollmorgen DBL/DBK series servomotors incorporate neodymium-iron-boron magnets to meet demanding applications for industrial applications requiring highly dynamic requirements. The DBK models are shortened and suitable for use in restricted spaces.
Motor series Goldline (B, BH, M, MH)
Danaher Motion's brushless servomotors are designed to operate over a broad range of speeds and have the advantage of reduced maintenance since there are no brushes or commutators. DC brushless motors offer superior performance with our highest torque/inertia ratio and high speed capability of up to 8,000 rpm for standard designs (up to 70,000 rpm for special designs).
