Stepper Drives
Stepper Drive DSR92-70C
The DSR drives are microstep power modules with Eurocard size for 2-phase stepper motors with various input configurations for the best possible customization to the individual application.
The cards can be used with 19"-3HU racks. A backplane simplifies the connection with terminals.
Microstep functionality allows up to 25600 steps per motor revolution.
A patented 4-phase PWM chopping electronically controls the motor winding currents at 20 kHz. This combines the best of recirculating and non-recirculating current regulation to provide high back EMF rejection with low ripple current. Further benefits are reduced heat dissipation, low elec-trical noise and improved current control during dynamic braking.
Smooth operation and an improved current control while braking are important features, which, combined with the 4-Q PWM, provide a higher performance than comparable stepper systems.
The idle current reduction permits the reduction of motor current if no step commands are received. Current is reset to full amplitude upon incoming new step commands.
