Step Motors Step motors are synchronous motors which are driven by an electronic control, the stepper drive with a step and direction signal. The frequency is proportional to the motor speed and the number of pulses is a measure for the angle of rotation . Danaher Motion solely offers 2-phase step motors with an step angle of 1,8° in full step operation. All Danaher Motion step motors can be quipped with various options such as shaft modifications, terminal box with gland, planetary gears, encoder or safety brakes on the back of the motor.
