MOTIONNET

The Motionnet System is a modular serial communications product that allows you to create the configuration you need. It consists of four Motionnet Chips: a Center Device (G9001) and three local devices: I/O Device (G9002), a PCL Device / Motion Controller (G9003), and a CPU Emulation Device (G9004).

The G9001 controls all of the serial communications, thus reducing the load on the CPU while providing automatic collision resolution eliminating the need to learn complicated command protocols. The G9001 can control up to a maximum of 64 local devices with a maximum communication speed of 20Mbps. The G9001 is a 64-pin QFP.

The G9002 has four 8-bit ports per device, allowing for 32 Digital I/O's per device. The G9002 is an 80-pin QFP.

The G9003 is a single axis high precision motion device that outputs 5Mpps to control stepper or digital servomotors. The G9003 offers various motion profiles, an encoder signal interface, and the ability to change speed and position on the fly. The G9003 is an 80-pin QFP.

The G9004 can operate in either CPU emulation mode or message communication mode. When in CPU emulation mode, the G9004 outputs signals identical to those from CPU terminals and uses data from the G9001. In message communication mode, the G9004 communicates freely with any CPU connected to itself. The G9004 can control various types of CPUs, and has both 8-bit and 16-bit CPU interfaces. The G9004 is an 80-pin QFP.
