HPF Friction Drive
The HPF3000 (High Performance Friction Drive) is a heavy duty, high performance linear module, capable of moving very large payloads over very long distances (exceeding 50 meters) at very high velocity (5 meters per second). It has a thrust capacity of 675 lbs. (3000 N) allowing aggressive acceleration of loads up to 1500 lbs.(6672 N). It incorporates the proven technology of our maintenance free roller wheel support bearings with our new highly dynamic friction drive. This drive utilizes two preloaded polyurethane drive wheels to transfer motor torque from the drive module to the drive rail. This unique design enables multiple drive heads to function independently on a single rail for improved overall system throughput.
