Bearings
Ready Mount: Self-Align
The ±5° Self-Aligning feature in Spyraflo bearings solves many problems associated with hole misalignment. Assemblies, chassis or machines can all profit from the benefits of Self-Aligning.
Spyraflo Plain Bearings incorporate either a Bronze or Delrin spherical insert that is held in place by the outer retainer. The insert can pivot ±5° in any radial inclination, thereby ensuring smooth shaft alignment and rotation.
The Needle Bearing and Permaglide options utilize a lubricated steel spherical insert that in turn retains the Needle Roller or Teflon Bronze bearing. The steel insert performs two functions, the first is to facilitate the ±5° capability, the second to retain the size and roundness of the bearing. Assembly problems become a thing of the past with the Self-Align feature that is available from Spyraflo in the Self-Clinch, Press-Fit and Flange-Mount products.
