Cyclo® 6000 Centrifuge
Special Design Cyclo for Centrifuge Applications
Cyclo® Drive centrifuge reducers are the ideal drive system for all kinds of centrifuges using a conveyor for continuous solids transport. Its circular design, the high ratio up to 87:1 in only one stage, the high shock overload resistance and the flexible design possibilities are the main reasons that it is the most popular drive system for centrifuge applications.
Description
The Cyclo Drive provides the differential speed between the bowl and the conveyor. The exactly balanced housing is connected with the bowl and turns with the bowl speed. The output shaft of the Cyclo Drive is connected with the conveyor and transmits the torque which is needed for the solid transport. The input shaft can be fixed with a torque arm or driven with a back drive motor to provide the necessary relative speed.
The flexible lubrication system allows grease lubrication as well as all kinds of oil lubrication according customer's requirements. Mounting dimensions can be designed to fit into all applications.
There are four different main types available to allow all kinds of drive systems for the application. ZS as single stage version for most applications when conveyor turns faster than bowl. ZSPN and ZSPV as double stage version for higher ratios. ZSPN provides conveyor slower than bowl, ZSPV provides conveyor faster than bowl. The very special type ZSPR as double stage reducer with a differential planetary stage allows variable relative speed over the full control range of the motor with slower as well as faster conveyor.
