TaperGrip® Bushing

Keyless, Steel TaperGrip® Bushing

The Sumitomo Steel Taper-Grip Bushing is a keyless (shrink-disc type) shaft/hub locking device integrated into the shaft mounted reducer and gearmotor product lines. The Taper-Grip bushing is a standard feature on the following products:

• Cyclo BBB
• Cyclo HBB
• HSM Shaft Mount

The unique patented design has a number of benefits for the user:

• Easy mounting and removal of the drive to and from the shaft of the driven machine
• Standard bore sizes require no shaft preparation such as a keyway, undercut, or keep plate
• Backlash free torque transmission
• Works with standard shafting, no special tolerances required
• Allow for automatic shaft center alignment
• Resistant to fretting and corrosion
• Multiple stock bore sizes for quick delivery.
