Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Motor

Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Motors are compact, high-performance servo motors designed to simplify machine design, installation and commissioning while providing precise and reliable motion control for industrial automation applications.

Designed as part of the Kollmorgen Essentials™ Motion System, the motors are available in eight power ranges from 200 W to 4,000 W and support 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 400 VAC and 480 VAC systems, providing flexibility across a wide range of machine designs and automation requirements.

Integrated SFD-M multi-turn absolute feedback technology provides 24-bit single-turn and 16-bit multi-turn resolution without requiring battery backup. Energy-harvesting technology retains positioning information during power loss or shutdown, helping reduce maintenance requirements associated with conventional battery-backed encoder systems.

Industry-standard IEC mounting, plug-and-play compatibility and single-cable power and feedback technology help simplify installation and system integration. A flexible shaft key kit enables either smooth or keyed shaft configurations, reducing the need to stock different motor variants.

Rated motor speeds reach 3,000 rpm, with maximum speeds up to 6,000 rpm, while an optional integrated 24 VDC holding brake is available for applications requiring additional holding capability.

Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Motors are designed for integration with Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Drives and Kollmorgen WorkBench, providing a complete servo motion solution for applications including packaging machinery, material handling, automated production equipment, printing and converting machinery, warehouse automation and general industrial automation.
