Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Drives are compact, feature-optimised servo drives designed to simplify machine design, installation and commissioning while providing reliable, high-performance motion control for industrial automation applications.
Designed as part of the Kollmorgen Essentials™ Motion System, the drives support multiple Industrial Ethernet protocols within a single hardware platform. EtherCAT®, EtherNet/IP™ or PROFINET® communication can be selected during installation, providing flexibility when integrating the drive into different industrial control architectures.
Advanced multi-axis synchronisation is supported through EtherCAT®, CIP Sync™ and PROFINET IRT, enabling precise coordinated motion across multi-axis machinery and automated production systems. Integrated dual-channel STO SIL2/Cat 3 PL d functional safety supports modern machine safety requirements.
Kollmorgen Essentials™ Servo Drives are available for 120–240 VAC and 240–480 VAC supply voltages, with continuous output power ratings up to 4,000 W. Their compact design helps reduce control cabinet space, while compatibility with Kollmorgen Essentials™ servo motors and single-cable power and data technology simplifies machine wiring and system integration.
Setup and commissioning are streamlined through Express Setup in Kollmorgen WorkBench, providing access to drive configuration, tuning and diagnostic functions. The full WorkBench toolset is also available for more advanced motion configuration and optimisation.
The Essentials™ Servo Drive is suitable for applications including packaging and labelling machinery, warehouse automation, material handling systems, automated production equipment, printing and converting machinery and other industrial motion control applications.
