Trio Motion Technology has expanded its Flexslice I/O range with the launch of the new P359 Flexslice 8-In Analogue Current Input Module, providing machine builders and automation engineers with a compact solution for integrating multiple analogue sensors into their control systems.
Designed for applications requiring accurate measurement of process variables such as temperature, pressure, level, and distance, the P359 module features eight 4-20mA analogue current inputs within a slim 15mm-wide slice footprint. This high channel density enables greater functionality while minimising valuable control cabinet space.
Each input channel is digitised with 12-bit resolution, delivering 4,096 discrete measurement steps across the 4-20mA input range. The result is precise and reliable sensor data acquisition for demanding industrial automation applications.
The module offers high measurement accuracy with 100µA input accuracy and supports input frequencies up to 100kHz, making it suitable for both process monitoring and high-speed machine control environments.
Designed for Flexible System Integration
The P359 module is fully compatible with Trio’s Flex-6X Nano and Flex-7 Flexslice controllers, as well as the wider EtherCAT Flexslice System I/O platform. This allows engineers to seamlessly expand existing systems with additional analogue input capability.
Installation is quick and straightforward thanks to Trio’s positive click-to-lock Flexslice mechanism, which securely joins modules together to create a complete I/O station. In addition, the analogue inputs feature tool-free push-in wiring terminals, helping to reduce installation time and simplify maintenance.
Robust Performance in Industrial Environments
Current-loop signals are widely used throughout industry due to their excellent noise immunity, and the P359 is designed to maximise this advantage. Compared with voltage-based signals, 4-20mA inputs offer greater resistance to electrical interference, ensuring reliable signal transmission over longer cable runs.
To further enhance system reliability, the module includes ±25V voltage protection and 3.75kV isolation, safeguarding connected equipment from electrical faults and disturbances. The module is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°C to 45°C.
High-Density Analogue Measurement for Modern Machines
The new P359 Flexslice 8-In Analogue Current Input Module provides machine builders with a powerful and space-efficient way to integrate multiple analogue sensors while maintaining high measurement accuracy and robust industrial performance.
