RTA – CSD HT Series
The RTA CSD HT Series is a range of compact EtherNet/IP stepper motor drives with encoder feedback, AUTO-FEED closed-loop control and Safe Torque Off (STO SIL3). Available as the CSD HT S4 and CSD HT S8, the range supports stepper motors up to NEMA 34, with operating voltages up to 85 VDC and nominal current up to 6 A.
The RTA CSD HT Series is a range of digital stepper motor drives with integrated EtherNet/IP communication, designed for precise motion control in industrial automation and positioning applications.
The range includes the CSD HT S4 and CSD HT S8, providing options for different motor sizes and performance requirements. The S4 supports stepper motors up to NEMA 24, while the higher-powered S8 supports motors up to NEMA 34.
Both models incorporate encoder feedback and RTA's AUTO-FEED closed-loop functionality, combining the simplicity of stepper motor technology with enhanced position control.
With support for Profile Position, Profile Velocity and Homing operating modes, the CSD HT Series provides a flexible solution for applications including automated machinery, packaging equipment, handling systems, assembly machinery, positioning systems and inspection and test equipment.

AUTO-FEED Closed-Loop Control
RTA’s AUTO-FEED functionality combines encoder feedback with closed-loop stepper motor control while maintaining straightforward configuration.
The system helps to simplify tuning, reduce power consumption and reduce motor heating while maintaining reliable control of the motor’s position.
Integrated EtherNet/IP Control
The CSD HT Series supports Profile Position, Profile Velocity and Homing operating modes over EtherNet/IP.
Encoder feedback, Touch Probe functionality and limit switch management provide additional flexibility for positioning and automated machine applications.

Motor Compatibility
The CSD HT S4 supports stepper motors up to NEMA 24, while the higher-current CSD HT S8 supports stepper motors up to NEMA 34.
Protection
Both models incorporate protection against:
- Under-voltage
- Over-voltage
- Short circuit at the motor outputs
- Overtemperature
An optional DIN rail mounting kit is available for installation within electrical control cabinets.
