The WITTENSTEIN RPK+ is a high-performance hypoid gearbox from the alpha Premium Line, designed for demanding rack and pinion applications. Combining high torque density, low backlash and exceptional rigidity with a compact right-angle design, the RPK+ delivers precise, smooth motion where maximum performance is required in limited installation space.
High-Performance Hypoid Gearbox
The WITTENSTEIN RPK+ combines the performance of the RP+ planetary gearbox with a precision hypoid gear stage to create a compact right-angle drive solution. The axis offset of the hypoid gearing enables higher ratios and increased torque compared with conventional bevel gearboxes, making the RPK+ particularly suitable for demanding motion control applications.
High Torque and Precision
Designed for applications requiring high feed forces and accurate positioning, the RPK+ offers high torsional rigidity and backlash of ≤1.3 arcmin. Reinforced bearings allow the gearbox to accommodate high forces while maintaining a compact design, while the hypoid gearing provides smooth, quiet operation.
Optimised for Rack and Pinion Systems
The RPK+ is specifically optimised for high-performance rack and pinion applications. Integrated slotted holes simplify adjustment between the pinion and rack while eliminating the need for separate adjustment plates, increasing system rigidity and reducing assembly effort. Specially matched pinions enable maximum feed forces to be transmitted efficiently.
