The Kollmorgen PCMM2G Motion Controller is a compact, high-performance programmable controller designed for advanced multi-axis machine automation applications. Engineered for precision motion control and scalable system integration, it provides a flexible platform for applications ranging from standalone machine modules to complex synchronised production systems.

Powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor, the PCMM2G supports up to 64 synchronised motion axes and provides deterministic EtherCAT communication with update rates of up to 4 kHz. This enables fast, accurate and coordinated real-time motion control for demanding industrial automation applications.

The Trio MS I/O System is a compact, modular I/O expansion solution designed to extend machine control capabilities across industrial automation and motion control applications. Its flexible slice-based architecture allows machine builders to configure the digital and analogue I/O required for each machine while maintaining a compact control cabinet footprint.

Designed for integration with Trio Motion-PLC controllers, the MS I/O System communicates via the high-speed MS-Bus interface, providing deterministic I/O performance synchronised with Trio's Motion-iX control platform. Digital inputs, digital outputs, analogue inputs and analogue outputs can be combined to create an I/O configuration matched to individual machine requirements.

Individual MS I/O slices are just 12 mm wide and feature a compact DIN-rail mounted design with front insertion and removal. Spring clamp connectors provide convenient tool-free wiring, helping simplify installation, maintenance and future machine expansion.

For distributed machine architectures, the MS EC EtherCAT coupler enables remote I/O to be positioned closer to sensors and machine devices. Up to 16 I/O slices can be connected to a single coupler, while multiple couplers can be incorporated across a machine. The Flex-7 EtherCAT Motion Controller is a high-performance, compact machine controller designed for complex, high-axis-count motion control applications. Its re-architected communications interface and 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM processor provide dedicated processing resources for motion and communications, supporting fast and reliable machine performance.

The Flex-7 supports up to 80 EtherCAT axes with selectable motion update rates from 125 μs to 4 ms. It is supplied with two built-in EtherCAT axes and can be expanded using Trio P912 Remote Axis Feature Enable Codes as machine requirements grow.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports support general Ethernet communication and industrial protocols including Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP. A dedicated EtherCAT master port provides deterministic communication with compatible servo drives, I/O modules and other EtherCAT devices.

RTEX
The built-in Ethernet port allows programming and connection of common PLC and HMI protocols, including the Trio Uniplay range of HMIs, directly to the MC4N-RTEX. The bright easy to read backlit display enables the controller status to be easily determined

Easy to use
The MC4N-RTEX supports up to 32 axes of motion with 64 bit integer position registers for ultra precise axis resolution. RTEX slave drives can be connected and run in cyclic synchronous position, speed or torque modes provided these are supported by the drive.

Expandable
Versions of the MC4N-RTEX are available for 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 motor axes. All versions feature 32 software axes any of which may be used as virtual axes if not assigned to RTEX hardware. Every axis can be programmed to move using linear, circular or helical or spherical interpolation, electronic cams, linked axes and gearboxes. The power of the controller allows for multiple robotic transformations to run simultaneously.

I/O can be connected via the CAN port on top the MC4N making expansion quick and easy.

Easy Set-Up, Easy Programming

Programming the MC4N is identical to using traditional analogue axes with the addition of being able to set up drives and process alarms over the RTEX bus. EtherCAT slave nodes (Flexslice Modules) are connected via the Flexslice EBUS and the EtherCAT connector. Total slave connections can be up to 128 nodes including I/O and complex devices.

The Flex-6 Nano is a powerful DIN rail mounted stand-alone flexible and compact Motion Coordinator. Its on board memory can be expanded to 32 GByte using a Micro SD card.

The Flex-6 Nano can be used as a stand-alone controller or can "plug" straight into our EtherCAT Flexslice System allowing expansion of the system to include servo and stepper drives, I/O and other functionality that conforms to the EtherCAT standard.
