R-MOD ET EtherCAT Stepper Motor and Drive Combo Unit
The R-MOD ET Series combines a stepper motor, EtherCAT drive and multi-turn absolute encoder in one compact unit. Operating from a 24–48 V DC supply, the range provides holding torques from 110 to 300 Ncm with integrated Safe Torque Off functionality for distributed motion control applications. RTA R-MOD ET range.
The R-MOD ET EtherCAT Stepper Motor and Drive Combo Unit combines a stepper motor, digital drive, multi-turn absolute encoder and EtherCAT communication interface within a single compact assembly.
Integrating the motor and drive reduces control-panel space, simplifies machine wiring and allows the motion controller to be positioned close to the driven axis. This makes the R-MOD ET particularly suitable for decentralised and distributed automation architectures.
The multi-turn absolute encoder retains axis position information without requiring a homing routine after each power cycle. Closed-loop position control provides reliable positioning performance while monitoring the motor’s actual movement.
The range operates from a 24–48 V DC supply and is available with 56 mm and 60 mm motor flanges. Four motor configurations provide holding torques from 110 Ncm to 300 Ncm, allowing the required size and torque to be matched to the application.
EtherCAT communication supports integration into high-performance, synchronised motion systems. Industrial M12 and M8 connectors provide robust connections, while integrated Safe Torque Off helps support machine safety requirements.
