Length Gauges
HEIDENHAIN length gauges provide accurate and repeatable linear measurement for industrial metrology, quality assurance and precision positioning applications. Their photoelectric scanning technology and robust mechanical construction deliver reliable measurement across the entire travel range.
Incremental and absolute models are available to suit different measuring and control requirements:
- ACANTO absolute length gauges provide measuring ranges of 12 or 30 mm. Position values are available immediately after switch-on, eliminating the need for a reference run.
- CERTO incremental length gauges are designed for exceptionally accurate metrology, with 25 and 60 mm measuring ranges and accuracy down to ±0.03 µm following linear error compensation.
- METRO incremental length gauges combine high accuracy with measuring ranges from 12 to 100 mm.
- SPECTO incremental length gauges provide a compact solution for multipoint inspection stations and restricted installation spaces.
- Low measuring-force models are available for inspecting delicate, compressible or easily deformed components.
Depending on the model, the measuring plunger can be operated by spring force, compressed air, a motor or a cable lifter. This allows the gauging force and measuring sequence to be matched to manual inspection stations, automated production equipment and sensitive components.
