Commutation Rotary Encoders – AMT31 & AMT33 Series

Same Sky's AMT31 and AMT33 Series are capacitive commutation rotary encoders designed to provide accurate position feedback and electronic commutation for brushless DC (BLDC) motors. Generating standard three-phase U, V and W commutation signals, the encoders provide the rotor position information required for efficient motor phase switching in motion control applications.

Both series utilise Same Sky's capacitive sensing technology, providing reliable feedback performance with greater resistance to contaminants such as dust, dirt and oil than traditional optical encoder technologies. Their modular construction also simplifies installation and alignment with the motor shaft.

AMT31 Series

The AMT31 Series provides a compact modular solution for BLDC motor commutation and position feedback. Its combination of performance, compact dimensions and straightforward installation makes it suitable for a wide range of general-purpose servo and motion control applications.

AMT33 Series

EP rotary encoders series with potentiometric output signal. The potentiometer is fitted in a sturdy housing and it's supported by two bearings, assuring excellent lifetime, speed and accuracy.

Rotary encoders are electro-mechanical devices used to monitor and control the position and angular speed of rotating shafts. In particular, incremental encoders track positional changes relative to a defined reference point. As a result, they operate independently of the direction of rotation. By generating electrical pulses, they measure rotation, speed, and acceleration. However, the reference (zero) position must be reset at each system start-up.

ETMR – Magnetic Incremental
ETMR is a non-contact encoder with a through hollow shaft up to 35 mm. In addition, its compact design has an axial thickness of only 11 mm. Moreover, it offers high IP protection and strong resistance to vibration. It also supports speeds up to 8,000 rpm. Therefore, it is ideal for heavy-duty applications.

Rotary encoders are electro-mechanical devices designed to control the position and the angular speed of mechanical axles in motion. Rotary incremental encoders are so defined since they track the increase (variation) in respect to a position taken as a reference point and independently from the direction of the rotation. The incremental encoder senses rotation, speed and acceleration by counting the number of pulses sent by the output circuit, but the zero point must be reset at every new start.
