TwinSpin® high-precision backlash-free cycloidal reduction gearboxes

Micromech is pleased to offer the RTA SC32 Series Electric Cylinders, providing a compact and configurable solution for precise linear motion in industrial automation, machine building and OEM applications.

Designed as an efficient alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, the SC32 Series combines precision mechanics with RTA’s motion-control expertise to deliver smooth, accurate and repeatable linear movement.

Compact Linear Motion for Stepper Motor Applications

The SC32 Series is designed for integration with RTA stepper motors, allowing a complete electromechanical actuator assembly to be supplied ready for installation.

Its compact construction makes the SC32 particularly suitable for machinery where installation space is limited, without compromising positioning performance or reliability.

Standard stroke lengths of 50, 100, 150 and 200 mm are available, with encoder and non-encoder configurations offered to suit different application requirements.

Key Features

  • Designed specifically for stepper motors
  • Compact electric-cylinder construction
  • Ball screw transmission
  • Maximum force of 200 N
  • Maximum speed of 250 mm/s
  • Position repeatability of ±0.025 mm
  • Stroke lengths of 50, 100, 150 and 200 mm
  • Integrated anti-rotation
  • Protection ratings up to IP65
  • Encoder and non-encoder configurations
  • Compatible with RTA CSD Series stepper motor drives
  • Rear clevis, sensors and other accessories available

Typical Applications

The RTA SC32 Series is suitable for applications including:

  • Industrial automation
  • Packaging machinery
  • Pick-and-place systems
  • Material handling
  • Assembly equipment
  • Test and inspection machinery
  • Compact positioning systems
  • An Alternative to Pneumatic Actuation

Replacing traditional pneumatic cylinders with electric actuation can provide greater positioning accuracy, improved process control and better repeatability.

Electric cylinders can also help reduce maintenance requirements and energy consumption by eliminating the need for compressed-air infrastructure.
