					<description><![CDATA[<p data-start="163" data-end="535"><strong data-start="163" data-end="182">Rotary encoders</strong> are electro-mechanical devices used to monitor the <strong data-start="234" data-end="246">position</strong> and <strong data-start="251" data-end="271">angular velocity</strong> of rotating mechanical shafts. Among them, <strong data-start="315" data-end="346">rotary incremental encoders</strong> are so named because they measure changes relative to a reference position rather than absolute positions. That is, they track <strong data-start="474" data-end="496">incremental motion</strong>, regardless of the rotation direction.</p>
<p data-start="537" data-end="880">These encoders generate a series of electrical pulses as the shaft rotates. By <strong data-start="616" data-end="641">counting these pulses</strong>, the system can determine <strong data-start="668" data-end="680">rotation</strong>, <strong data-start="682" data-end="691">speed</strong>, and <strong data-start="697" data-end="713">acceleration</strong>. 						<p>Rotary encoders are electro-mechanical devices designed to control the position and the angular speed of mechanical axles in motion. Rotary incremental encoders are so defined since they track the increase (variation) in respect to a position taken as a reference point and independently from the direction of the rotation. The incremental encoder senses rotation, speed and acceleration by counting the number of pulses sent by the output circuit, but the zero point must be reset at every new start.</p>
